How to find us

How to find us from the North:
From the A1, take the A61 to Thirsk, then the A170 towards Helmsley, before Helmsley turn right onto the B1257. From this point, Castle Howard is well signposted. At the Obelisk turn right down the track that leads to the Arboretum (the entrance to the Arboretum is immediately opposite the Castle Howard entrance).

How to find us from the South:
From the A1, take the A64 towards Malton, by-passing York. From this point, Castle Howard is well signposted. When you turn off of the A64 the road takes you through two archways (take care, especially at the top one as the visibility is not good) to the Obelisk. At the Obelisk turn left down the track that leads to the Arboretum (the entrance to the Arboretum is immediately opposite the Castle Howard entrance).
