Education For All - Flowering Plants and Ferns

A number of the flowering plants recorded from wetland or acidic grassland areas within the Arboretum are uncommon and very locally distributed in Ryedale including bitter vetch, bogbean, fen bedstraw, greater tussock sedge, pill sedge, bladder sedge, bottle sedge and blunt-flowered rush. Greater spearwort is particularly notable since it is known from only one other Ryedale locality (an oxbow pond near Old Malton), where only a few plants are present. The Arboretum is the only site in the district where marsh speedwell has been found in recent years.

Unfortunately the details shown here are imcomplete as the last page of the survey is missing.
