The Arboretum Trust
Among the exotic trees are many familiar woodland shrubs.
Grown from seed collected from the ancient woodlands are blackthorn, wild plum,
juniper, mulberry, crab apple and broom, to name a few.
Drifts of wood sorrel and cowslips appear in Spring, closely followed by the
exotic camassia and marsh orchids. Foxgloves, polypody fern, common orchid,
lady's smock and Yorkshire fog all arrive in season.
