Wild About Wood Festival

 

The arboretum will hold its first Woodland Festival on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September 2009.

The Wild About Wood festival will provide a distinctive, memorable, entertaining and educational experience, unique to the North of England.

The festival will be an exciting celebration of all things “wood”.

It will bring together traditional woodland crafts, educational activities for all ages, entertainment, music, site tours, and the very best food, art and craft products for sale in the North of England.

There will be demonstrations of traditional woodland crafts and skills (e.g. willow weaving,
hurdle making)
Chainsaw sculpting
Furniture making
Arboretum tours & woodland trails
Sales of regional arts, crafts and foods
Educational activities
Refreshments
and a mix of free and paid entertainment

 
  Entry: Adults £6, Concessions £5, Child £4 and Family ticket £16  
 

Covered and open space exhibit sites are available and will be allocated on a strictly first come, first served basis.
